Who are we?

DiscountCoffee.ie is part of the Pure Roast Coffee company, a local manufacturer offering freshly roasted coffee throughout all of Ireland.

We are a third-generation family business, founded in 2006 by Martin Symington, built on a simple belief: great coffee starts with care, craft, and family values.

From the very beginning, family has been at the heart of everything we do. What started as Martin’s vision has grown into a business now proudly run by the next generations — his sons James and Robert, alongside his grandson Adam. Together, they continue to build on the foundations laid before them, carrying the business forward with the same passion, integrity, and commitment to quality.

Being family-run means more than shared ownership — it shapes how we work, how we make decisions, and how we treat our customers. We think long-term, take pride in what we produce, and care deeply about consistency and trust. Every coffee we roast reflects that responsibility.

Discount Coffee is our main e-commerce platform, delivering you the best products at the best prices.

We supply our own in-house range of products, as well as other premium brands. While coffee is our speciality, we also supply a wide variety of other delicacies, such as syrups, hot chocolates, tea, and many others. 

We supply goods from companies such as Lavazza, Monin, Barry's Tea, and many more great and prestigious brands, with next-day delivery available throughout all of Ireland.

BRC AA+ Grade Facility

Pure Roast Coffee has achieved this prestigious BRC AA+ Grade accreditation, a distinction earned by only 30% of suppliers. We are the only coffee roaster in Northern Ireland to achieve this status. The BRC is a globally recognised organisation that builds confidence in supply chains by establishing rigorous standards for food production, packaging, storage, and distribution.

The AA+ grade is the highest food safety standard awarded by the British Retail Consortium (BRC), setting the benchmark for good manufacturing practice and providing assurance on safety, quality, and operational standards.

Great Taste awards

Great Taste is the world’s largest and most influential food and drink accreditation programme, offering impartial feedback from over 500 experts including chefs, buyers, writers, and retailers. It provides trusted validation for products, and any 1-, 2-, or 3-star award is a recognised mark of quality.

Our manufacturing capabilities

We have an uncompromising passion for great-tasting coffee. From sourcing to roasting, every step is carefully considered to ensure the best possible cup. We invest only in the finest equipment and technology. 

Our state-of-the-art facility, utilising unique convection roasters, allows us to roast over 3,500 tonnes per year with precision, consistency, and respect for the character of each coffee. We cater to every customer's individual taste, no matter how big or small they may be.

This dedication enables us to produce coffee that is smooth, balanced, and full of flavour, whether enjoyed black or with milk.

Private label Solutions

Every private label coffee project is tailored to your business, target customers, and market position, allowing us to create the ideal roasting solution for your brand. We source premium beans globally and roast them in our advanced Northern Ireland facility using twin Loring convection roasters, which circulate hot air to preserve natural flavours and ensure a clean, consistent, high-quality result.

At Pure Roast Coffee, we have the capability to produce a wide range of private-label coffee products, including:

At Pure Roast Coffee, we are committed to delivering exceptional coffee by cultivating ethical, sustainable, and long-term partnerships with some of the world’s finest coffee farmers and their communities.

Our convection roasting technology not only produces exceptional coffee but is also environmentally friendly, reducing emissions and gas usage by up to 70% while maintaining the highest quality standards for all our customers. We also have compostable and 100% recyclable foil, which allows us to eliminate plastic, thus diminishing our carbon impact.

Through direct sourcing, we ensure our farming partners receive fair compensation, while securing outstanding quality coffees from across the globe.
